On November 25, 2009, the Western-Pacific endMS Regional Research and Training Centre (RRTC) launched with a workshop event involving over 20 researchers and many aspiring trainees from British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Hosted by Dr. Dessa Sadovnick and Dr. Anthony Traboulsee, the event allowed researchers and trainees to learn about each other’s work, be introduced to new research equipment and techniques and consider cross-disciplinary collaborations in MS research.
Participants represented a very wide diversity of specialties and disciplines. The collaborative nature of MS research was very clear in the presentations as was the initiative that leading researchers are taking to mentor new MS-focused trainees.
